Nonlinear Fit Series Function
The Nonlinear Fit series function is used to fit the data in the
source series to a model function. A Levenberg-Marquardt optimizer is used to
optimize the fitting parameters. This series function takes a single source series.
The
model function may take one independent variable but any number of fitting parameters. The user may choose one of the pre-defined model
functions (i.e. the Exponential, Polynomial, multi-peak Gaussian, multi-peak
Lorentzian, or multi-peak Voigt function) or define his/her own function on
the Nonlinear Fit tab-page of the Series
Function dialog box.
