Differentiate Series Function
The Differentiate series function is used to calculate finite
differences of the data in the source series. This
series function takes only one source series. The data in the value
component of the destination series are the finite differences of the data
in the function domain
in the value component of the source series.
Four algorithms of calculating finite differences are supported (i.e. two-point forward
difference, two-point backward difference, three-point central difference, and
cubic spline) and can be selected on the Differentiation
tab-page of the Series Function dialog
box.
