Brush Editor
This editor is used to customized the selected brush.
Visible
Check or uncheck this check box to make the selected brush visible or invisible.
Solid
Select this tab-page to make the selected brush a solid brush. The color of
the brush can be picked
from the color palette or with the Color Editor that can be opened by
clicking the Custom button.
Custom
Click this button to open the Color Editor with which a custom
color can be built for the brush.
Transparency
The value in this spin box specifies the transparency in a percentage of the color of the
brush.
Hatch
Select this tab-page to make the selected brush a hatch brush.
Hatch Style
The value in this list box determines the filling style of the hatch brush.
Background
Click this button to open the Color Editor with which the
background color of the hatch brush can be customized. The value below this
button is the percentage transparency of the background color.
Foreground
Click this button to open the Color Editor with which the
foreground color of the hatch brush can be customized. The value below this
button is the percentage transparency of the foreground color.
Gradient
Select this tab-page to make the selected brush a gradient brush.
Format
Direction
The value in this combo-box determines the direction of the color
gradient of the selected brush.
Angle
The value in this spin box specifies the angle of the color gradient of
the selected brush.
Colors
Start
Click this button to open the Color Editor with which the start color of the
color gradient can be selected.
Middle
Click this button to open the Color Editor with which the middle color of the
color gradient can be selected.
End
Click this button to open the Color Editor with which the end color of the
color gradient can be selected.
Gamma Correction
Check this check box to enable Gamma correction for the colors.
Transparency
The value in this spin box specifies the percentage transparency of the
Start, Middle, and End colors.
No Middle Color
Check this check box to disable the use of middle color in the color
gradient.
Options
Sigma
Check this check box to enable Sigma correction.
Sigma Focus
This track bar is visible only if the Sigma check box is
checked. The position of this track bar determines the Sigma focus of the
brush.
Sigma Scale
This track bar is visible only if the Sigma check box is
checked. The position of this track bar determines the Sigma scale of the
brush.
Center X Offset
The value in this spin box specifies the horizontal center offset of
the color gradient if its direction is set to FromCenter on the Format tab-page.
Center Y Offset
The value in this spin box specifies the vertical center offset of the
color gradient if its direction is set to FromCenter on the Format tab-page.
Image
Select this tab-page to make the selected brush an image brush.
Image
Select in this combo-box the background image of the brush. If User Input is
selected in this combo-box, the user can use the Browse button to select an
image file whose image is used as the background image; or if any other
option is selected, the
corresponding pre-defined image will be used as the background image. It is strongly recommended that only
small image files are used to avoid significant slowdown in system
performance.
Browse / Clear
Depending on the context, this button changes between the Browse
button and the Clear button. Click it to browse the background image
file or to clear the selected background image.
Mode
The value selected in this combo-box determines the layout style of the background image
in the brush.
OK
Click this button to accept the settings and close this editor.
Cancel
Click this button to discard any changes and close this editor.
